About Katie Glynn-Walko…

I am a quality-focused, motivated, and responsible business/technical writer and editor with additional experience in instructional design and adult learning theory. I successfully operated a communications consulting business from 2008 through 2015. I earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and certification in e-learning instructional design from the Association for Talent Development (ATD). I started working for Liona in June of 2022, and I write and edit all the proposals.

A fun fact about me is that I am the great-niece of Alfred E. Smith, the Democrat Party's nominee for president in 1928. Uncle Al's sister Mamie was my dad's mom. Uncle Al was the first Catholic to seek the presidency. He lost in a landslide, and historians attribute the loss to the "Three P's": Prejudice, Prohibition, and Prosperity.
