We are excited to announce our newest collaborative business partner, Magic Leap, a leading innovator behind virtual reality (VR) technology solutions for enterprises. This technology is nothing like you would see for consumers though: this is a next level step from video teleconferencing, 3d modeling, data visualizations, and so much more. Studies have shown that we activate new areas of the brain with a virtual reality environment that would otherwise be unachievable [Live Science1], thus improving engagement and retention rate. We at Liona Enterprises strive to build relationships with industry leaders and innovators to offer a wide assortment of effective business solutions. Magic Leap’s competitive edge fits that profile, and we are excited for what this collaborative business partnership has to offer our customers.

There are several applications businesses have tested with virtual reality, one of the most notable being Walmart’s act of using the technology for employee assessment. They were able to see how employees take on day to day situations, assess their knowledge of department locations, and even demonstrate how they would resolve customer conflict. Walmart has found that integrating virtual reality technology has resulted in a more accurate, practical, and effective method to properly assess employees. Their hopes are to eventually combine this with their internal hiring process in efforts to better eliminate bias. [Washington Post2]

Virtual reality has allowed doctors to give virtual guided tours to prepare patients for difficult surgeries, providing for a distraction from painful procedures for children and adults alike, and has even become a safe, effective method to train surgeons, physicians, and others in the working in the field [Health Tech Magazine3]. If consumer-grade virtual reality technology is already trending in day-to-day retail operations, then there can only be endless opportunities for those in medicine, engineering, construction, real estate, or even the military using this technology.
